What Colorful Modeling does
Colorful Modeling is a Blender add-on that replaces the default gray Solid view with color cues while you build a model. It helps you tell parts apart early, well before any materials exist.
Viewport colors and material assignments are independent, so using one never disturbs the other, and rendering is unaffected. Shortcut buttons create colorful primitives, and another returns you to Solid view from Wireframe, Material Preview or Rendered view. It suits modelers who find uniform gray surfaces hard to read.
