Combinemats
Developer: Derek Wang
Blender add-on that merges two or more materials into a new one through a Mix Shader driven by a texture or vertex paint.
What Combinemats does
Derek Wang's Combinemats blends existing Blender materials into a brand-new one. It builds a Mix Shader whose factor can come from a texture map or vertex paint.
One click does everything, and the add-on calculates where to place the new nodes so they don't overlap what is already there. Layered looks such as dirt on paint or rust on metal are quick to assemble. Look development artists save node wiring time. The generated material stays an ordinary node setup, so it can be refined further like any other shader.
