Curve Tracer
Developer: Satori
Traces footage with contour lines in After Effects and Premiere Pro for pencil and sketch-style looks.
What Curve Tracer does
Curve Tracer by Satori converts video frames into contour drawings, ranging from pencil sketches to abstract line art. It works in After Effects and Premiere Pro.
Twelve presets offer starting points, line width is set in pixels and curves can be solid or dashed. Main, lighting and sketching contours each have colour and opacity settings, with lighting coverage and scale controls to emphasise shading. Ghosting layers past or upcoming frames as echo contours, halo rendering adds a soft glow, and the source image can be composited back over the result with additive or normal blending. Good for stylised music videos and animated sketches.
