Dropletee
Developer: Towards Inner Momentum
Liquid distortion effect for After Effects with iridescent colour, lighting and six presets.
What Dropletee does
Dropletee builds a fluid, oily distortion by accumulating frames over time and pushing pixels along surface normals. The result is lit and tinted with iridescent colour, resembling soap film or oil on water. It renders on the GPU through WebGPU in After Effects.
Six presets provide starting looks: Chemtrails, Blue Acid, Dust Devil, Oil Slick, Wave Rush and Soap Burst. View modes show clean accumulation, alpha mask or normal map, with debug modes for noise, palette and light. Caching comes as Live Preview of up to 120 frames, one-click Compute with a progress bar, or silent Auto Cache. After Effects 2023 to 2026 are supported.
