What Duplicate & Rename does

Poly Artboard's Duplicate & Rename is a plugin built for After Effects that combines layer duplication with renaming in one step. It saves the repetitive cycle of copying a layer and then editing its name, for example when producing left and right versions of an element.

Custom search and replacement terms rewrite the names of the copies. Duplicates can be nudged to a new position or flipped, and a choice of label colors keeps the timeline readable. It works with After Effects 2020 through 2025.
