Equal Area Sphere
Developer: Scripting Blender
Adds a Blender sphere primitive whose faces cover roughly equal area, avoiding pole clustering.
What Equal Area Sphere does
Equal Area Sphere adds a mesh primitive that spreads vertices so faces have similar surface area. This avoids the dense clustering at the poles of Blender's default UV sphere.
It is found under Add > Mesh > Equal Area Sphere, with ring counts adjustable from 3 up to 100 or more. Each ring works out how many vertices it needs for uniform spacing. Useful for sculpting, simulation and any work needing even topology.
Key features
- Added via Add > Mesh
