Blender add-on with two master materials that hide repetition in tiled textures, for both patterned and organic surfaces.

What Extile does

Tiled textures look obviously repeated on large surfaces. Extile by Alexandros Demetriades counters this using two master materials constructed from grouped mathematical functions.

It handles regular patterns like tiles, bricks and flooring as well as natural surfaces such as soil. You can import your own textures from any source, Megascans included, and drop the materials in through Shift + A or the Add Shader entry, each in a single step. Environment artists and archviz specialists will notice cleaner floors and ground planes.

Key features

  • Two master materials for de-tiling
  • Works on geometric and organic textures
  • Import textures from any source
  • Added through Shift + A or Add Shader
  • Reduces visible repetition on large surfaces
