Fractal Family
Developer: imare32
Blender extension that generates fractal curves on Gaussian or Eisenstein integer lattices, with Koch, Dragon and Gosper presets.
What Fractal Family does
Fractal Family is a Blender extension that produces fractal curves with complex integer lattices, following Jeffrey Ventrella's research into the family tree of fractal curves.
Curves develop through recursive substitution on a Gaussian square grid or an Eisenstein triangular grid. Presets include the the Koch Curve, Dragon Curve and Gosper Island. Generative artists and math enthusiasts can explore and render intricate forms. Each family member is produced by repeating a rule on the grid, so changing the starting pattern or recursion depth gives a wide range of related curves.
