Gore Wrap
Developer: Erik-Ogan
Flattens scanned meshes into gore-shaped strips and exports them as SVG.
What Gore Wrap does
Gore Wrap unfolds a scanned mesh into flat gore strips, the lens-shaped segments used to approximate a curved surface on a flat sheet. The result can be exported as SVG for use in vector or cutting tools.
It is aimed at people who start from 3D scan data and need physical, flat patterns, such as for fabrication, wrapping or printing. Working inside Blender means the scan can be prepared and flattened without moving through separate software.
Key features
- Flattens scanned meshes into strips
- SVG export of the flat pattern
