What Hierarchy Guardian does
Hierarchy Guardian untangles messy 3ds Max scene hierarchies, especially ones brought in from Revit, BIM, CAD or SketchUp. Nothing changes until it has analyzed the structure and reported counts, depth, risks and expected changes (exportable to text), with an impact estimate of Low, Medium or High.
Presets cover CAD, BIM, ArchViz and asset libraries. Cleanup can reduce depth to a set maximum, remove placeholders, dummies and leftovers, convert groups to hierarchy and fix corrupted scale, while protecting cameras, lights, proxies, XRefs, hidden, frozen and animated nodes and keeping instancing. A Hold snapshot, optional full backup, restore options and post-cleanup validation add safety.
