What Light Volume does
Light Volume is a grape design plugin that makes the lights in a composition visible in 3D space. It supports point lights and spotlights, producing beams and glows within the scene, and GPU acceleration keeps it responsive.
Softness and falloff can be controlled finely, natural distortion can be added to the light, and dust is rendered in brighter areas for an atmospheric feel. A depth map input is supported. It is intended for After Effects 2023 through 2026 and suits scenes with stage lighting, light shafts or moody atmospheres.
