Limber
Developer: Animatable
A 2D character rigging add-on for After Effects that builds stretchy limbs from shape layers with IK, FK and FreeK.
What Limber does
Limber is a rigging add-on from Animatable that speeds up 2D character animation in After Effects. A limb is generated in a couple of clicks from shape layers, after which it can be restyled, scaled and duplicated at will.
Limbs may stretch or stay rigid, foreshorten, and rotate around a joint, and hands and feet can follow automatically. You can copy one limb's appearance onto another and choose between IK, FK and FreeK animation modes. It can rig vector and raster art, bendy paths, puppet pins and faux-3D tapers, and ships with over 100 Limb Library presets. Character animators gain a quicker route to believable arms and legs.
