What VariFont does
VariFont is a native plugin from Braindot Design that makes variable fonts usable in After Effects and Premiere Pro. Variable fonts pack many weights and widths into one file, but Adobe's text tools have long handled them awkwardly; this plugin fills that gap.
Supported hosts are After Effects (CC 2019 to 2025) and Premiere Pro (CC 2019 to 2024); Apple Silicon and multi-frame rendering both work. It also uses the current After Effects plugin interface. Typographic animators and editors who want to adjust font axes smoothly, rather than picking fixed styles, have a practical route here.
