Maya Pivot
Developer: Zinkenite
Blender add-on bringing Maya-like pivot features and 3D cursor tools, including edit-mode pivot setting from selected faces.
What Maya Pivot does
Maya Pivot imports ideas from Maya's pivot system into Blender, with extra 3D cursor features.
In edit mode a panel sets the pivot's position, orientation and Z axis using selected faces. It relies on the cursor entry of the transform orientation menu. Artists accustomed to Maya can place pivots precisely on faces without manual transforms. The goal is to give artists who know Maya a familiar way to control orientation and placement, without learning an entirely different approach to pivots and cursors.
