Mirror/Chop
Developer: Tiemen's addons
A Blender edit-mode add-on that mirrors meshes across any plane and chops geometry at a defined plane.
What Mirror/Chop does
Mirror/Chop adds two plane-based edit-mode operations to Blender. You can mirror a mesh across any plane on the mesh, or cut geometry in two along a plane defined by three vertices or a selected face.
Pop-up options swap the cut side and open or close the cut, and the chop can affect just the connected object or every mesh in the scene. The plane can be nudged along its normal. Mirroring works with linked meshes, lets you include other objects, and merges vertices where the mirrored halves meet. Hard-surface and general modelers who slice and mirror parts will find it quick.
Key features
- Chop along a three-vertex or selected plane
- Swap cut side and open or close the cut
- Limit to connected object or all scene meshes
- Move the chop plane along its normal
