Molecular Nodes
Developer: bradyajohnston
Blender add-on for importing and animating molecular data, from proteins to cryo-EM and molecular dynamics.
What Molecular Nodes does
Molecular Nodes lets Blender work with structural biology data. It imports atoms, small molecules, protein structures, molecular dynamics trajectories, cryo electron microscopy and tomography, starfile instancing and CellPack ensembles.
Prebuilt Geometry Nodes handle selecting, styling and animating the data, and structures can be downloaded from the PDB and AFPDB. Scientists, educators and science communicators can create accurate yet visually appealing animations and renders of molecules without separate visualization software. Because everything is built from nodes, the same dataset can be restyled or re-animated without re-importing it.
Key features
