What MMD Tools does
MMD Tools connects Blender with MikuMikuDance content. It reads and writes the model formats used by that community, letting artists bring characters into Blender for rendering or modification and send them back out.
Models are handled in .pmd and .pmx files, motions in .vmd and poses in .vpd. Beyond transfer, the add-on lets you chop and join model parts and edit rigid bodies, materials and motion. Animators and fan creators who work with MMD characters can combine them with Blender's rendering and animation tools.
