Normal Mapper
Developer: BGRA Entertainment
After Effects plugin that generates normal maps from images, with native Apple Silicon support.
What Normal Mapper does
Normal Mapper, developed by BGRA Entertainment, creates normal maps inside After Effects. Normal maps encode surface direction, so they're useful for relighting flat artwork or preparing textures for 3D and game work.
A strength parameter from 0 to 100 sets how pronounced the surface relief is. The plugin supports Multi-Frame Rendering and runs natively on Apple Silicon, and a crash affecting After Effects 2025 has been fixed. It works from CS6 through After Effects 2025.
