What OmniOutset does
OmniOutset is aimed at hard-surface modeling in Blender. It produces a true equidistant outset along edges, keeping uniform thickness even around complex boundaries, and offers a smart face extrude that offsets while pushing along the normal.
Dragging previews the result live; Ctrl swaps the secondary parameter between Outset and Z-Offset, and Shift slows movement for precise tweaks. It detects topology, either deleting bottom faces for a clean cavity or flipping normals on isolated faces to make a closed shell. One shortcut, Shift+Alt+E by default, covers face and edge modes, and the interface is localized in ten languages.
