Pcm_Core

Developer: Marco Sibaldi

Download Free

Blender add-on for importing and viewing huge point clouds, with GPU display and interactive section cuts.

What Pcm_Core does

PCM_Core brings laser-scan data into Blender and keeps it responsive. It reads PCD, PLY, LAS, LAZ and E57 files, installing the dependencies it needs automatically.

A GPU-optimized viewer can show millions of points in real time, using dynamic level of detail governed by Preview and Interactive limits. Prism Clipping lets you drag a bounding box to cut plans and elevations, with the view updating at once, which supports tracing architectural survey data. Surveyors and architects are the likely users.

Key features

  • Imports PCD, PLY, LAS, LAZ and E57
  • GPU-optimized display of millions of points
  • Dynamic level of detail limits
