What Photolapse does
Photolapse creates the rapid flash-cut photo effect in After Effects from your own pictures. Aris Melachroinos designed it around a short workflow that moves from image selection to finished animation.
You select the photos and mask each one, then choose speed and order with an instant preview. Once the arrangement is final, you finalize the Photolapse and animate it with the included particle-like effects. It works with After Effects from CC 2015 to 2025, with earlier versions untested.
