Phyllotactic Dome
Developer: Martin Preston
Adds a Blender primitive that builds dome and egg shapes following phyllotactic spirals, ready for instancing seeds or leaves.
What Phyllotactic Dome does
Phyllotactic Dome is a compact Blender add-on that places a new entry in the Mesh menu. It generates dome and egg shapes whose surface is divided into quads arranged along phyllotactic spirals, the pattern seen in sunflowers and pine cones.
Settings let you bend the form into many basic phyllotactic variations, and the result is well suited to instancing objects on its points, such as seeds or leaves. It works with Cycles and Eevee, ships with documentation of the controls and is released under the GPL.
