Pinguin - Cutout To Mesh
Developer: Bric Bric
Turns a folder of PNG cutouts into meshes in Blender, with toggles for upright placement and holes.
What Pinguin - Cutout To Mesh does
Pinguin converts transparent PNG cutouts into mesh objects inside Blender. Pointing it at a folder processes all the PNG images there, removing the need for external software to prepare placement, scale, lighting and shadows.
A vertical toggle creates meshes standing upright, and a holes toggle builds shapes with interior holes or keeps just the silhouette. Good for populating scenes with cutout people, plants and props. Automating the conversion saves hours when assembling collages, paper-craft scenes or architectural entourage from large folders of cutout images.
