Av: Bisect
Developer: AV
Alternative bisect tool for Blender that cuts meshes with planes from vertices, edges, faces or the 3D cursor.
What Av: Bisect does
AV: Bisect is a rethinking of Blender's built-in Bisect tool. It cuts meshes using a plane built from the selected vertex, edge or face, or directly through the 3D cursor.
In Cursor mode, the D hotkey moves the cursor, and merge distance can be adjusted. The approach gives more precise control than the stock tool. Helpful for hard surface modelers who split geometry often. Precise plane placement makes it simpler to split models for printing, cleanup or modular assets without relying on rough manual cuts.
Key features
- Plane from a vertex, edge or face
- Cut through the 3D cursor
- D hotkey to move the cursor
