Polygen
Developer: AlbertoFX
Blender add-on that treats retopology as a point simulation, growing quad and triangle layouts over a surface live.
What Polygen does
AlbertoFX's Polygen approaches mesh topology differently: points scatter, evolve and link across a surface, and the arrangement is converted into quads and triangles while you watch.
Paint points or draw guide paths, with agents sticking to the mesh through raycasting. Smart meshing builds faces from agent positions and can add subdivision and shrinkwrap modifiers. Sidebar controls for quad size, repulsion and attraction shape the outcome, and automatic regeneration keeps it updated. Useful as a starting point for retopologizing organic models.
Key features
