What Position Matte 2 does
Position Matte 2 is a compositing tool for working with position passes from 3D renders. Instead of asking for many separate matte passes or rotoscoping, you generate mattes from the position data already in your render.
Footage, shape layers or precomps can serve as mattes or projections. Layer mode offers tiling and offset, there is 3D world rotation with full control over rotation order, and Apple Silicon and multi-frame rendering are supported. VFX compositors integrating CG will benefit most.
