What Precomp Anchor Repo does
Precomp Anchor Repo aligns anchors and positions to a layer, composition or parent area. It works out that area by examining precomps, masks, track mattes, expressions and more, which a built-in alignment cannot do.
Corner and Vertex modes decide how bounds are calculated. Track mattes are measured from vertices and edges rather than alpha, and parametric shapes plus shape contents like strokes, trim paths and skew are supported, with a few limits on roundness and inner radius. 3D layers are skipped unless forced in Settings.
