Projection 3D
Developer: Nataworkstudio
Builds and projects 3D objects inside After Effects with extrude, revolve and surface tools, and exports cameras to C4D or Maya.
What Projection 3D does
Projection 3D from Nataworkstudio is an After Effects plugin for creating geometry and projecting footage onto it. Modelling tools include Extrude, Extrude along path, Spherize, Revolve and a Surface Modeler for objects of any complexity.
Extrude can use a selected mask, or a cutout pattern combined with a path, and Revolve rotates a profile curve about a pivot. A 3D-Object Converter, Displace tools, a Projection Scenes Library and direct OBJ editing are provided, and cameras can go out to Cinema 4D and Maya. A one-click realistic water animation option works in Blender. Camera-projection artists can stay within one application.
