pt_Multiplane
Developer: Paul Tuersley
After Effects script that turns layered Photoshop or Illustrator files into 3D multiplane scenes for depth and camera motion.
What pt_Multiplane does
pt_Multiplane by Paul Tuersley is a script for After Effects that converts layered Photoshop or Illustrator artwork into a 3D multiplane setup. It adds expressions so layers can move along the z-axis while the shot's original camera view stays unchanged.
Auto Arrange spreads layers through a depth range, optionally at random. You can choose a one-node camera or a two-node camera with a Point of Interest, pick a lens preset, and apply to selected or all layers. Null controllers handle layers already animated or scaled, and Bake/Remove strips the scale expressions when finished.
Key features
- Auto Arrange distributes layers along the z-axis
- One-node or two-node camera choice
- Lens presets for the multiplane camera
- Null controllers for animated or scaled layers
- Bake/Remove scale expressions when done
