What RE:Vision Effects SmoothKit does
RE:Vision Effects SmoothKit extends basic blurs and sharpens for After Effects and Premiere Pro. Edge-preserving blur softens flat areas while keeping edges crisp, and its own sharpening method greatly reduces ringing.
Filtering can target luminance, chrominance or each RGB channel independently. Additional filters reduce jaggies, apply a less blocky median, and clean MPEG block artifacts. Compound blur varies blur size per pixel from grayscale images, and Z-blur uses depth maps with an adjustable focal point for depth of field.
