RigFlex

Blender add-on that applies simple stable soft body motion to parts of an armature, with baking.

What RigFlex does

RigFlex gives parts of a Blender rig a soft, wobbling quality. It applies soft body actions to the armature using a stable first-order simulation.

There are no collisions and no overshoot. To finish, select the deform bones and a keyframe range to bake the motion, with a revert option to remove the effect later. It supports Blender 4.2 LTS and newer under GPL v2 or later with no special permissions. Animators adding secondary motion to tails, antennae and cloth bits work quickly.

Key features

  • Soft body actions on armature bones
  • Stable first-order simulation
  • Bake over a keyframe range
  • Revert option
