What Rowbyte Dot Pixels does
Dot Pixels is a Rowbyte filter for After Effects and Premiere Pro that replaces an image's pixels with round dots or hollow rings. It is a quick way to mimic LED panels, perforated surfaces or stylised halftone-like art.
A dimension factor controls block size, outer roundness adjusts the circles, and inner radius sets the thickness of rings. Optional shading makes dots look like spheres and rings like tori. The background can be filled with a colour or left transparent. After Effects users also get 32-bit floating point and multi-frame rendering. Artists after abstract or retro display treatments of footage will find it simple to dial in.
