Sakura Auto Simplify
Developer: Kafuji
Blender add-on that auto-simplifies scenes during playback and editing modes, then restores settings.
What Sakura Auto Simplify does
Sakura Auto Simplify, by Kafuji, keeps Blender responsive in heavy scenes by lowering scene cost only when you need speed. Entering animation playback or pose, edit, paint and sculpt modes triggers the optimization, and leaving them puts everything back.
It hides modifiers that are not on a white list, mutes normal map nodes, disables auto smooth on meshes, trims AO, SSR and shadow depth settings, and can switch shading to solid. Each mode keeps its own simplification settings in a panel reached from the Simplify button, and the set of triggering modes is configurable.
Key features
- Auto-optimizes on playback and several editing modes
- Modifier white list, normal map muting
- Per-mode simplification settings
- Restores original settings on exit
