Developer: Paul Hormis
3ds Max script, bindable to a hotkey, that sets the selected bone's weight on each vertex to zero.
What SelectedVert_Weight_to_0.ms does
SelectedVert_Weight_to_0.ms by Paul Hormis lowers the weight of the selected bone to 0 on every selected vertex in 3ds Max. Instead of typing zero into the Skin modifier each time, you press a hotkey.
This MaxScript is version 2.5 and runs on 3ds Max 6, 7 and 8. A demo video shows it in use. Riggers cleaning up skin weights, for example removing unwanted influence of a bone from parts of a mesh, can speed up the repetitive step considerably.
