What Slides & Grids does

Slides & Grids from Zohaib Malik is a set of three tools for After Effects that handles grid layouts and slideshow-style animation. It takes care of arranging items into rows and columns, wrapping groups of layers into precomps, and applying changes across many compositions at once.

Grids can be fitted, spaced with margins, offset on alternate rows, and framed with masks, rounded corners and dashed strokes. Items animate with staggered delays or randomised timing, and a grid can be converted to static layers for hand tweaking. The bulk editor adds, swaps or removes layers across selected comps, targeting them by selection, index or name, which suits artists who produce lots of collage and slideshow work.
