So-Sprite
Developer: Silvère Oriat
Creates animated 2D sprite planes in Blender from video, image sequences or images, with tracking options.
What So-Sprite does
So-Sprite helps place flat artwork into a 3D scene. It builds a plane from an imported video, image sequence or single image and sets up the material and animation timing for you.
The sprite can face the camera in 2D, 3D or flat tracking modes, or not track at all. Material settings cover emission, transparency and roughness, and animation options include looping and a start frame. A custom Y rotation gizmo is driven by Geometry Nodes. Good for mixing hand-drawn or filmed elements with 3D.
