Splatworks - Synthetic Gaussian Splat Capture
Developer: Ben Hornibrook
Blender add-on that renders camera datasets for training Gaussian Splats and exports COLMAP, PLY and transforms.json.
What Splatworks - Synthetic Gaussian Splat Capture does
Splatworks produces synthetic datasets for Gaussian Splat training directly in Blender. Choose a target and camera count, render, and export.
Camera positions come straight from Blender's matrix_world with no tracking or solving step. A Fibonacci-sphere rig or custom proxy-mesh rigs distribute cameras evenly facing inward, and a live sparse point cloud preview has adjustable point count. Exports include transforms.json, sparse PLY and COLMAP files for compatible trainers. It suits researchers and artists who want clean synthetic training data from 3D scenes.
Key features
- Camera positions from matrix_world
- Fibonacci-sphere and proxy-mesh rigs
- Live sparse point cloud preview
- Exports transforms.json, sparse PLY and COLMAP
- Works with compatible trainers
