Blender add-on that places and animates the Sun using geographic location, date and time.
What Sun Position does
Sun Position aims the Sun in Blender according to a real location and moment in time. Its calculations are based on the NOAA online calculator and Jean Meeus's Astronomical Algorithms, which makes daylight studies accurate.
Sun Object Mode animates a sun lamp, sky texture and visualization collection from date, time and place, while Environment Mode synchronizes a sun light with an environment texture so they rotate together. Controls are in World Properties. Architects, product visualizers and anyone needing time-of-day lighting can use it.
