What Synchronize Workspaces does
Synchronize Workspaces holds your 3D viewport view steady as you move between workspaces in Blender. Viewport and overlay settings can optionally travel with you.
Synchronization can be disabled for particular workspaces and toggled on or off with a widget. It synchronizes the largest 3D View in each workspace and needs no special permissions. Users who switch between modeling, sculpting and shading workspaces avoid losing their view. It is most noticeable on projects that bounce between layout, modeling and shading tabs, where the view otherwise resets each time.
