Creates dynamic trails, swooshes and speed lines in After Effects that react to the velocity of what they follow.
What Trails does
Trails is an add-on from OtherCubed that sets up motion trails in seconds in After Effects. They update instantly in the composition and respond to the speed of the object they are attached to.
A wiggler adds randomness, and the trails work with all shape layer effects, including trim paths, repeaters and zig zags. A velocity-based line length option scales dynamic effects to the trail's speed. Stick Trails fixes trails to a point or layer, and Offset Trail shifts a trail forward or backward in time. It suits swooshes, speed lines and stylized movement graphics.
