What True Depth: Depth Map Generator does
True Depth converts flat pictures into 3D inside Blender. An AI model runs on your own PC or Mac to estimate detailed depth, and the result is displaced into geometry in one click.
Processing works on CPU or GPU, up to three times faster on GPU. Perspective Mode projects photos back through a virtual camera into scenes you can orbit around, HDRI Dome Studio builds a dome and shadow-catching floor from an HDRI or 360-degree image, and a 3D printing suite outputs watertight solids. Environment artists and photographers can add parallax and depth to still images.
