Vertex Tangent
Developer: obaida
3ds Max script for editing spline vertex tangents with axis control, local-axis movement and optional undo.
What Vertex Tangent does
Vertex Tangent gives finer control over the tangents of shape vertices in 3ds Max. Selected vertices are detected automatically, and a Get button re-reads the current selection at any time.
Because tangent changes have no undo by default, an ON button starts undo recording, though entering 0 in a spinner restores previous positions. The axis buttons choose the direction of movement, not of projection; separate In and Out tangent selection lets those handles travel together; and tangents can follow a local axis or be aligned to a particular one. It helps spline modelers who need precise curves.
Key features
- Auto-detects selected vertices with a Get button
- Optional undo recording for tangent moves
- Axis buttons define the moving axis
- Select In and Out tangent vertices separately
- Local axis movement and axis alignment
