What VoiceLab does
VoiceLab adds voiceover creation to After Effects and Premiere Pro, so narration can be produced where the edit is. A free local text-to-speech model works on your own machine with no subscription, and ElevenLabs can be used instead if you prefer its voices.
Beyond narration it can generate sound effects and change existing voices, all working on the timeline. The local model handles American and British English, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, French, Spanish, Hindi, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese, which is helpful for quick scratch tracks or finished voiceovers in several languages.
