Volna
Developer: irrealix
Draws stylised strokes from one or two masks in After Effects, with gradients, arrows, noise and thickness ramps.
What Volna does
Volna is an advanced stroke plugin from irrealix for After Effects. It builds strokes from masks, blending one or two of them into new shapes carrying many lines, each filled with gradients and bent by noise.
Parametric arrows can sit at line ends, and a thickness ramp varies width along the path. Gradients accept unlimited colour points and three interpolation modes, with an optional cross-line gradient. Points mode offers random rotation and offset, noise distortion has amplitude, frequency, evolution and audio-driven options, and alpha noise, ramps and sine functions produce rough, chalky or dashed styles. A density ramp compensates for blending distortion. Great for decorative linework.
Key features
