Volume Forge

Developer: Depth Optica

Download Free

Creates localized volumetric light and fog in Blender where you place it instead of filling the whole scene.

What Volume Forge does

Volume Forge adds atmosphere exactly where it is needed. Light Volume mode uses an emissive approach by plugging an Emission shader into the Volume output, while a separate mode makes true volumetric fog.

Fade, breakup, color, masking, shadow response and overall shape are adjustable, from a clean beam to a softer, dirtier look, and user presets can be saved. It keeps render times lower than global fog. Among its capabilities are light Volume and true fog modes, fade, breakup, color, mask controls and shadow response and shape.
