Zigzag Extrude
Developer: Mark Kingsnorth
Blender add-on that makes jagged zigzag extrusions on faces, useful for pipes, steps and ribbed shapes.
What Zigzag Extrude does
Zigzag Extrude creates stepped, jagged extrusions from selected faces in Blender. It suits piping, staircases, ribbing and more abstract forms.
You set the number of steps, depth and thickness of each cut, and can add randomness to thickness. The extrusion can be tapered, transformed or rotated to bend, working with proportional editing, and insides and corners can be beveled for smoother pipes. It handles tris, quads and n-gons, extrudes regions or individual faces, and pairs with the Path Deform modifier.
Key features
- Step count, depth and cut thickness controls
- Random step thickness
- Taper, transform and rotate the extrusion
