3 Points Align
Developer: Nick Barre
Blender add-on that fits and snaps one object onto another with three drawn lines, recalculating rotation to fit.
What 3 Points Align does
3 Points Align places one object onto another in Blender by drawing guide lines running from the target mesh over to the source. The rotation is recalculated so the aligned object fits.
It continues to work when transforms are already applied on the source and target meshes. Automatic diameter detection helps with cylindrical objects, and scale of source and target can be matched. Modelers assembling mechanical parts or fitting imported meshes together will find it saves manual rotation and scaling.
Key features
- Three-line alignment and snapping
- Rotation recalculated automatically
- Works with applied transforms
- Diameter auto finding on cylinders
- Scale matching
