What After Keying does
After Keying is a chroma key finishing add-on for After Effects from Nataworkstudio. Keyed footage often loses fine detail such as strands of hair, and the subject can look pasted on, so this tool targets both problems.
Its Refine Details function brings back hair and other fine edges that were removed during the key. The Atmosphere function places an object into a scene in a single click, helping it sit naturally against the background. The plug-in works with After Effects versions from CS6 through 2026 and uses an online activation step for licensing. Compositors cleaning up chroma key shots can add it after their usual keyer.
