Alpha Trees from Strike Digital lets Blender render big forests without heavy models. Flat cards with four vertices each stand in for trees, and they turn toward the active camera.
An advanced material reacts to lighting and translucency so the cards appear three-dimensional. In the Pro version, a Geometry Nodes scatter system controls density, scale, rotation, randomness and wind animation, with weight layers for placement. Landscape and background artists save memory and render time on distant vegetation.
