Aurum
Developer: YCraft
A GPU-accelerated PBR metallic effect for After Effects with presets, HDRI reflections and bevels.
What Aurum does
Aurum gives flat layers a convincing metal finish inside After Effects. It uses physically based shading with HDRI environment reflections and a Smart Edge feature that detects fine detail to guide the look.
Eight presets cover gold, silver, rose gold, bronze, copper, platinum, brushed steel and black chrome. Seven HDRI environments are built in, custom layers can be used, and five bevel profiles shape edges. Metal and OpenCL acceleration run on Mac and Windows, with a CPU fallback. It is well suited to logos and titles.
